Idea Napkin No. 2

Brittany Traynor ENT3003 Idea Napkin No. 2 Due: 10/27/17 1. I am a third-year Finance major here at UF. I am passionate about creating a product that is innovative and in tune with technological advancements that we are seeing throughout our society. I would say that I am personally good at communication and being clear about my ideas and intentions. I am also usually pretty good at identifying a problem in a situation and then having the ability to evaluate the situation with an objective standpoint to try to fix the problem. I have had an internship, as well as small jobs, and a leadership position on campus that have all helped me develop professionally. 2. I am offering the convenience to never have to worry about carrying a wallet or student ID to my customers. I am offering a mobile version of their ID that they can have easily accessible on their mobile phones so that they have their ID with them at virtually all times. This is also giving them the chance to adapt t...

Create a Customer Avatar

Brittany Traynor ENT3003 Create a Customer Avatar Due: 10/27/17             My prototypical customer is a freshman at a college campus. For the purposes of this assignment, my customer avatar is a student at the University of Florida, but if my product were to actually be created it would be a student at any college who implemented my mobile student ID application on their campus.             I imagine my customer to be a college freshman who lives on campus and is on the student meal plan, and therefore uses their Gator1 ID on a very regular basis. This customer is around the age of 18-19, and spends the majority of his/her time on campus. This customer probably spends downtime doing things that most college students do, such as watching Netflix and doing homework in the library. In addition, this customer is probably trying to get involved on campus and attends camp...

Elevator Pitch No. 2

Image
After the last elevator pitch assignment, the people who commented thought that I did a pretty good job on it and that I had a product that people would most likely want to use. One individual noticed that I did not sound as upbeat and excited about my product as I probably should, so I tried to change the tone of my voice as well as my facial expressions and body language to reflect that. In addition, I tried to talk in a more conversational way as I think I was a little bit more nervous last time I recorded my pitch, and that showed in my video. Neither time was I reading from a script, but it almost seemed like I was in my first pitch as I was nervous and a little bit more monotone, so I tried to fix that in this pitch. I also changed the script for my pitch to be less repetitive and more conversational and to the point.

What's Your Secret Sauce?

Brittany Traynor  ENT3003 What's Your Secret Sauce  Due: 10/20/17  For this assignment, I interviewed 5 people who are closest to me. Their names are Lauren, Briana, Diane, Ryan, and Brooks. The audio recordings of my interviews with them are attached above. I gathered information from them and was able to compare that insight to my own personal views about my strengths regarding knowledge, skills, abilities, and emotions.  I personally believe that I stand out from other individuals in that I have strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills. In addition, I have taken a strengths quest quiz and learned that one of my strengths is empathy. I would say that I am good at seeing both sides of many situations, but I often struggle with that objectiveness if I am emotionally invested in the situation. Lastly, I feel that I am good at being thorough in that I will finish things that I start and give 100% effort. I typically like to tackl...

Figuring Out Buyer Behavior No. 2

Brittany Traynor ENT3003 Figuring Out Buyer Behavior No. 2 Due: 10/13/17             Segment: Freshmen at the University of Florida who live on campus and are on an on-campus meal plan. I chose this segment as these are the students who I predict use their student ID’s most frequently on a day-to-day basis. Asking about alternative evaluation- Students who currently have the need for a mobile student ID mostly seem to have this need for convenience. Based on the three students who I interviewed, the currently find other strange ways of ensuring that they always have their student ID on them, but this is not fool proof and some of these methods seem just inconvenient. One of the students who I talked to said that she currently pops off her phone case and places her Debit card and Gator1 ID in the back of her phone case. Although this may be better than having to move ID’s between wallets and purses, this just seems ann...

Halfway Reflection

Image
Brittany Traynor ENT3003 – Halfway Reflection Due: 10/13/17 Tenaciousness is competency. For me personally, I function and perform my best when I have a set routine or schedule that I can follow. This course does require a sort of schedule as assignments are due each week, but I have noticed that I can work best and most effectively if I plan when I am going to do my assignments. Typically, since we have had 3 assignments due each week for the last 4 weeks, I have done one assignment each day between Monday and Wednesday, so that I am done and ready to submit my assignments well before they are due. However, things obviously come up. For example, I had a Business Law exam this past Monday, so I planned my week according to that. Overall, I would say that working in accordance with a schedule is a behavior that has helped me to be most productive and avoid procrastination. Tenaciousness is also an attitude. I think that the biggest moment where I felt like “giving up” was...
